Fosteel Stand at OMC 2025

Fosteel srl, based in Gravina in Puglia, took part in OMC Med Energy 2025 in Ravenna, the international trade fair for mechanical engineering, subcontracting and offshore and energy technologies. VM Live designed and built its 24 m² stand.

The exhibition concept aimed to strike a balance between technological innovation and industrial design, in line with the positioning of a company in the energy sector. The stand is defined by a single design choice, and a radical one: an LED wall covering the entire wall, supported by a dedicated load-bearing structure 5.50 metres long and 3 metres high.

On 24 m² (6 x 4 metres), open on all sides, that wall is the stand’s only solid vertical element and becomes the visual landmark in the hall. Everything else is deliberately pared back: a raised floor with integrated cable management and an access ramp to remove architectural barriers, glossy white floor tiles that reflect the light from the screen, a bespoke reception desk, display shelving and a storage room running the full length of one side, measuring 6 x 1 metres.

The full-wall LED wall made it possible to communicate dynamic content, alternating technical presentations, company values and reference projects. The content programming was designed as a narrative journey, guiding visitors through the company’s expertise and projects. Touches of greenery placed around the space soften the industrial tone.

In the industrial sector, the product is often impossible to bring to a trade fair: offshore components, machining work, made-to-order projects. There’s no object to put on the platform, and with it goes the natural visual draw. A large-format screen fills this gap: it shows what can’t be transported, and it does so in motion, with a pulling power that a printed photo simply doesn’t have.

Choosing to cover the entire wall instead of installing a standard-sized screen, however, changes the nature of the element. It’s no longer a monitor placed in a stand: the wall itself becomes the light source, and this calls for a load-bearing structure designed around the weight of the modules and content management

The risk with an exhibition stand for the energy sector is harshness: metal, greys, sharp edges. Here, the combination of advanced LED technology and industrial design creates an immersive environment, but the touches of greenery placed around the space soften the aesthetic and make the stand welcoming enough for a conversation. It’s a minimal, low-cost adjustment, yet it changes how the whole space is perceived.
