Erkodent is one of the dental industry companies that VM Live supported at Expodental Meeting 2025 in Rimini. For its 16 m² exhibition space, VM Live handled design, construction in our in-house carpentry workshop and installation at the trade fair.
The project’s defining feature is an architectural structure made of slender posts and beams in natural wood. Unlike the other stands we worked on at the same trade fair, where the wood is finished in tempera or hidden behind graphics, here the timber is left exposed and becomes the language of the space: a choice that gives the stand a warm, crafted character in a hall dominated by the clinical white typical of the dental sector.
On 16 m² (4 x 4 metres), the display relies on two 150 cm custom desks, fitted with doors and locks to keep materials secure when the stand is closed, and a 60 x 60 x 80 cm display cube. The communication works on three levels: a 275 x 300 cm backlit graphic, a 285 x 300 cm wall graphic, and graphics applied directly to the architectural structure and the cube.
Leaving the wood exposed is a decision that shifts the weight of the project onto the quality of the craftsmanship. A post painted in tempera forgives small imperfections; natural timber doesn’t: knots, grain and joints remain visible and have to be carefully selected and assembled. This is where the in-house carpentry workshop makes the difference, because it allows us to choose each piece and check how it looks before it reaches the trade fair.
The second issue is the security of the products on display. In the dental sector, exhibited items often have a high unit value, and a stand is left unattended every night for four days. The two desks were therefore built with doors and locks, turning the display furniture into a lockable unit and making it unnecessary to clear everything away each evening.

The project also included managing the logistics of the display materials. In the days before the event, the client had a pallet of goods delivered to VM Live’s headquarters in Pesaro, and collected it the same way once the event was over. For a company taking part in several trade fairs per season, this is a real advantage: the materials travel with the exhibition stand, with no separate shipments to coordinate around the trade fair grounds’ schedules.
At the same trade fair, VM Live also built the stands for Dental Dealer and Romadent.
